Within every human being, there is a gift. It is sometimes called a skill or talent that is profitable to them if it is put to use. This is a God-given treasure that you can use to create opportunities that will ensure your success.

God knew that we may not all have an opportunity to go to school, reach university, and study in the best academic institutions in the world. So, He gave us gifts to advantage us even in the midst of the lack of such academic opportunities.

Your gift is a weapon to defend you against failure. Even if you never went to school, you can succeed as a pastor, footballer, artist, musician, or skilled carpenter.

Your gift is able to create enough work for you and make you a success. All you need is to discover it, refine it through adequate knowledge and training, and use it to serve others. As you serve the world with your gift, they will respond to you by rewarding you handsomely.

Solomon had a gift of wisdom from God, and the whole world came to seek solutions from him. Scripture shows that as they came, they brought gifts and rewards to him. That was how he rose to greatness and became richer than all kings in his time (1 Kings 10:23–25). He was lifted up above all other kings by discovering his gift and putting it to work to bless others.

Proverbs 18:16 (LEB) says, "The gift of a person will open doors for him, and before the great, it gives him access." So, take time to sit down and examine your life. Ask yourself, "What is my God-given gift?" Once you discover your God-given gift, you have found a tool to use for your lifting. It will create room for you and bring you before the great. It will bring you favour and give you access to places you never dreamed of.

The point is that you are not a failure — you may just be misplaced. There is room for you at the top. You can become a great success if you simply discover your God-given gift and put it to work. That is the secret. Glory to Jesus!
